Head of Moroccan government Abdelilah Benkirane announced last Thursday during the first session of the strategic orientation council for the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco agency that part of the second compact financing from the U.S. Corporation will be injected in two major projects including the “Land productivity” project.
Aiming to “improve rural and industrial land management and productivity in order to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and make investments more attractive”, as highlights the Agence marocaine de presse (Moroccan Press Agency), the project should receive a $450 million financing facility. To this sum will add a Moroccan contribution of at least 15%.
The second program which will benefit from the compact financing is the “Education and Training program for Job creation”, which targets secondary education and professional training.
