Mining junior OreCorp Ltd has launched a scoping study at its Nyanzaga project in Tanzania, to assess its economic and technical viability.
The study which includes mining methods will take into considerations processing options to optimize throughput capacity and enhance metallurgical outcomes. The firm planned to complete at the end of Q4 2016, before immediately progressing on the prefeasibility study.
The news came few days after OreCorp declared a maiden Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource at Nyanzaga. It supposedly contains 21.3 million tons of ore, at a grade of 4.1 g/t for 2.78 million ounces.
OreCorp Limited is an ASX-listed mining company under ORR code. Its major projects include Nyanzaga gold project, in the North-West of Tanzania, and copper and nickel project, Akjoujt South in Mauritania.
