According to the results of the prefeasibility studies (PFS) released by Birimian this week, the construction of the Goulamina Lithium project in Mali should begin mid-2019. It will last 18 months and commence produce at the beginning of 2021.
The lifeline of the project was estimated to 9-14 years with its ore processing capacity ranging between 14 million tons (at a grade of 1.39% lithium oxide) and 20.6 million tons (at 1.31% of Li2O).
To develop this project, Birimian will need to invest between $86.9 million and $142 million.
“The PFS demonstrates that Goulamina is potentially a robust project, both technically and economically, based on the current indicated mineral resource,” said Greg Walker, CEO of Birimian.
Goulamina is incorporated to the Bougouni project which is fully held by Birimian.
