Angola Cables has opened a third cloud node in Angola as it expands its digital ecosystem. The new facility, Luanda-02, is integrated into the company’s Clouds2Africa platform.
Built to international standards, Luanda-02 improves network redundancy and reduces latency for users, while enhancing service continuity for organizations undergoing digital transformation.
“One of the biggest costs for our young entrepreneurs is digital infrastructure. To address this, we will support them by offering vouchers that allow them to use our services free of charge for a limited period,” said Ângelo Gama, CEO of Angola Cables.
The expansion coincides with the launch of the Acelera Clouds program, aimed at boosting cloud adoption among Angolan SMEs and startups. The initiative provides cloud vouchers that give young companies access to computing, storage, and backup resources without major upfront expenses. The goal is to remove technology barriers that continue to slow the digitalization of the local economy.
With these new capabilities, Clouds2Africa aims to position itself as a regional alternative to global cloud providers. According to the operator, the new node joins two facilities already operating in the country, expanding local data processing and hosting capacity.
