Djibouti launches design of integrated government-to-business digital platform
Project targets simpler procedures for MSMEs via online one-stop services
Initiative supports Vision Djibouti 2035 digital transformation agenda
Djibouti’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, launched the design of an integrated government-to-business (G2B) digital platform aimed at modernising relations between public authorities and companies, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The project seeks to simplify administrative procedures linked to business creation and growth by expanding the use of digital public services. It will be built around three main components.
A dedicated startup portal will bring together support services and key information. A G2B digital one-stop shop will streamline interactions between businesses and the public administration. In addition, the existing one-stop service will be expanded to gradually integrate more administrative procedures and electronic payment systems.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, ICT Minister Mariam Hamadou Ali said the G2B platform would be a cornerstone of Djibouti’s digital transformation, easing business creation and improving access to digital services, particularly for young entrepreneurs.
The initiative falls under the Vision Djibouti 2035 development framework and follows a series of measures positioning digital technology as a driver of economic and social development. Earlier this year, the country adopted a Digital Code to better structure its digital ecosystem.
In recent months, Djibouti has also strengthened cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union to support its digital transformation agenda.
