Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George (MP), has directed the National Communications Authority (NCA) and the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) to provide a full briefing on mobile network service quality across the country.
He also instructed both agencies to urgently convene a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers of all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to address persistent service quality issues, particularly in the Volta Region and other underserved areas.
The directive follows a complaint from a Volta Region resident regarding poor mobile connectivity. This intervention signals renewed government commitment to equitable digital access and stronger regulatory oversight, reinforcing Ghana’s broader digital transformation agenda.
