  • Langer Heinrich produced 1.06 million pounds of uranium from July to September 2025, a 66% year-on-year increase.
  • Operator Paladin Energy plans to ramp up production toward its nameplate capacity of 6 million pounds by FY2027.
  • The mine achieved a record quarterly output since restarting in March 2024 after nearly a decade of care and maintenance.

Namibia’s Langer Heinrich uranium mine produced 1.06 million pounds of uranium between July and September 2025, marking a 66% increase from the 640,000 pounds reported in the same period last year, operator Paladin Energy said in its operational report published Tuesday.

The company described the result as a “record quarterly production” since operations resumed in March 2024 after ten years of suspension. Paladin attributed the growth to operational improvements across the processing plant and mining operations.

Paladin said it processed 1.15 million tonnes of ore through the plant’s crusher during the quarter, achieving an average overall recovery rate of 86%. “We recorded a significant increase in mining activity at Langer Heinrich during this period, and our ramp-up continues to progress steadily in line with our plan,” said Managing Director Paul Hemburrow.

The company credited ongoing optimization measures and workforce expansion for the strong quarterly performance, highlighting them as key milestones in its ramp-up strategy.

Langer Heinrich produced 3 million pounds of uranium in Paladin’s 2025 financial year (July 2024–June 2025). The company now targets 4 to 4.4 million pounds for the 2026 fiscal year, before reaching the mine’s nameplate capacity of 6 million pounds by FY2027, according to its projections.
