The Orange Foundation Côte d’Ivoire allocated CFA60 million ($108,000) for the 2026 Ramadan and Christian Lent caravan.
The foundation mobilized more than CFA317 million ($570,000) between 2022 and 2026 to support vulnerable Christian and Muslim communities.
Nearly 40 churches and mosques across the country will receive food and non-food donations.
The Fondation Orange Côte d’Ivoire launched the 6th edition of its interfaith solidarity caravan “Ramadan & Christian Lent 2026” on February 18. The foundation organized the ceremony at the Auditorium of Orange Village, its headquarters.
The initiative aims to support underprivileged families during the fasting period. Habib Bamba, Director of the foundation, said the ambition is to “to enable the most vulnerable Christian and Muslim families to experience this spiritual moment with dignity, without precariousness hindering prayer, sharing, and hope.”
The foundation allocated CFA60 million ($108,000) to finance the 2026 campaign. Nearly 40 churches and mosques across the national territory will receive food and non-food donations. The donations include several tonnes of food products such as rice, oil and sugar, as well as complementary goods and equipment including carpets and mats.

Anka Kouleon, representative of the Minister of National Cohesion and the Fight Against Poverty, said the caravan forms part of a sustainable dynamic designed to promote community initiatives. She urged each community to use the donations as an instrument of fraternity and mutual support.
“I would like to express our deep gratitude to the Orange Côte d’Ivoire Foundation. Through this noble gesture, it has once again demonstrated its ongoing commitment to communities by supporting humanitarian and social initiatives that strengthen cohesion and fraternity.” said Cheikh Aïma Ousmane Diakité, President of the High Council of Imams, Mosques, and Islamic Affairs (COSIM).
Between 2022 and 2026, the foundation mobilized more than CFA317 million ($570,000) to support vulnerable Christian and Muslim communities during fasting periods.
Since 2006, the foundation has implemented 615 social projects. The organization initiates, finances and supports socio-cultural projects that aim to sustainably improve living conditions for communities.
