  • Ghana and Grenada signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral health cooperation.
  • The agreement includes the temporary deployment of Ghanaian nurses to Grenada.
  • Both countries aim to improve healthcare access, workforce capacity, and professional development.

Ghana and Grenada have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen bilateral cooperation in the health sector, the Office of the Prime Minister of Grenada announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Under the deal, Ghana will deploy trained nurses and medical personnel to Grenada on a temporary basis. The initiative aims to strengthen Grenada’s healthcare system by addressing workforce shortages and enhancing its public health response capabilities.

Grenadian authorities said the partnership reflects their commitment to improving access to healthcare services and building a more resilient health system.

For Ghana, the program provides international exposure and professional development opportunities for its nurses while contributing to the sustainable development of its national health system.

Both countries also intend to expand collaboration in areas such as human resources for health, institutional capacity building, and people-to-people exchanges.
