Commercial transactions between Egypt and Kuwait reached $1.74 billion in 2017, Amr Nassar (photo), the Egyptian minister of trade and industry said during the forum on Egypt-Kuwait cooperation held in Kuwait on November 7, 2018.
Amr Nassar explained that Kuwait is one of Egypt’s important trade partner, being the third Arab partner after the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The official also revealed that "Kuwait is on the fourth position on the list of the largest investors in Egypt with 1,227 joint investment projects and $3.7 billion of contributions".
Amr Nassar also explained that Kuwait’s investments were concentrated in the tourism, industry, finance, real estate and telecommunications sectors with some investments in the ICT and agriculture sectors.
