Regrouped last September 19, members of the economic and social council of Guinea pondered on major challenges such land issues in rural and urban areas, Mosaique Guinée reports.
The issue is to be dealt with by the infrastructure, decentralization, rural development and land development commission. “By tackling this issue, the commission No2 wanted to deal with one of the most concerning challenges that Guinean populations face, to insure their wellbeing via an easier access to land, to facilitate construction of homes, as well as industrial and commercial infrastructures, in a healthy environment,” said the institution’s president, Hadja Rabiatou Serah Diallo (photo).
Land issue seems to be a major concern for Guinean authorities. The minister of Town Planning and Land Development, Dr Ibrahima Kourouma, had in fact held a week ago a work session with regional and prefectural heads of his department, to find solutions to better secure State domains.
