In a statement reported by the Agence de Presse Senegalaise (APS), the chairman of the national commission for land reform (CNRF), Moustapha Sourang, and members of his delegation delivered last Thursday the land reform report to President Macky Sall.
“Professor Moustapha Sourang and members of his commission delivered the results of their over two years work to the President of the Republic. The report sets the direction in which to sail to achieve equal and secured access to natural resources,” reads the statement.
Much awaited to serve as a framework for the ongoing land reform in Senegal, the report should provide the government a clear overview of the land environment for adequate measures to be taken.
President Sall has, as a matter of fact, ordered for land titles to be issued for free across the nation.
