The Ivorian government will invest more than $5.9 billion this year to implement its national program. This amount is up nearly $1.3 billion compared to 2021.

According to a statement issued yesterday following a Council of Ministers, the 2022 program includes 445 projects and 219 reforms. $5.6 billion will be spent on projects and investments, while nearly $331.6 million will go for reforms. This Government Program 2022 is a component of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2021-2025. It aligns with the government’s three main development priorities, namely: "the transformation of the national economy", "social and youth employment" and "governance and the fight against corruption".

Government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly reported that the 2021 program was executed at 58.6% with 60.9% of projects and investments completed and 49.2% of reforms implemented. The official said that more than 30 ministries have presented "a commitment rate of over 60%."
