The construction of “Mohammed VI Tangier Tech” will not be abandoned despite the rescission of Chinese group Haite.
Indeed, a memorandum of understanding for the development of this industrial city was signed on April 26, 2019, in Pekin during the second Belt and Road Forum. It was signed by société d’aménagement Tangier Tech (SATT), China Communications Construction Company Limited International (CCCC) and its subsidiary China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
Mohammed VI Tangier Tech is an industrial city that will initially host 200 Chinese firms operating in the automobile, aviation and textile sectors.
Within 10 years, the investment of Chinese firms involved in the project should reach $10 billion.
