Thirteen journalists from various media in Pointe-Noire were invited this Friday 25th September by the top management of MTN Congo. The goal was to help the media representatives to understand the challenges of the telecoms environment in the Republic of Congo. Gain a better understanding of telecommunications to better communicate on mobile operators was the key takeaway point of this meeting.
"It is a great opportunity for MTN Congo to develop close links with the Press, knowing that journalists are an important go-between in the communication with the public opinion, with relation to the services we provide", Cyrique Okoumou, Corporate Services Director at MTN Congo, explains.
Network problems or client complaints on credit usage are legitimate concerns, which need to be well explained, but unfortunately are not always well covered by the Press. "This is why, Djibril Ouattara insists, we want a close relationship". An initiative lauded by the journalists.
