French telecom group Orange has just carried out a reorganisation of staff as part of its international mobility policy.
Alassane Diene, ex-General Director of Orange Guinea since its launch in November 2007, has been appointed at the position in Mali.
Eric Bouquillon, ex-General Director and Director for Orange Réunion and Mayotte respectively, is now General Director for Orange Guinea.
In Senegal, Thierry Marigny has been appointed as the new deputy General Director of Société Nationale des Télécommunications (SONATEL). He will support Alioune Ndiaye, General Director of SONATEL, in managing the company. All the new general directors officially take office on 13 September 2015.
Marc Rennard (photo), International Executive Director of Orange for Africa, Middle-East and Asia, justified the appointment of the new directors by their experience. He declared that they were all “experienced managers in the telecom sector. They will continue and magnify the development of their respective branches in a very innovative environment. Their contribution will be very important to the Orange Group when it is accelerating its development in Africa and the Middle-East”.
