Monday, 05 September 2016 21:03

From September 21 to 24, 2016, Morocco will host the first international information technologies (IT) trade fair. Entitled AITEX – AFRICA IT EXPO, the event whose theme is “Digital Transformation: Driver for Development in Africa” is organized by the APEBI, Morocco’s federation for Offshoring, Information and Communication Technologies.

At the fair which will be held in Casablanca, top-level experts, national and international operators as well as many actors of the IT industry will gather around what is to be the “Africa’s first platform for innovation and digital transformation”. The fair among other goals aims to boost the visibility of the IT sector, show the great opportunities it holds for the rapid development of the African continent, and reinforce exchange and sharing of knowledge between participants.

Also, let’s indicate that this first edition will honor Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire, two nations that drive ICT forward in West Africa.

Supported by Morocco’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, the AITEX trade fair will precede by a few weeks the COP 22 which is to start on November 7, 2016. Both events in fact share the same goal knowingly insure the emergence of Africa by 2020.
