Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) signed a 10-year partnership agreement with Huawei. Under the agreement, the Chinese telecom equipment supplier will help the Tanzanian operator launch the 4.5G network in the country to innovate and grab the greater portion of the local telecom market and thus get ahead of its rivals.
Commenting the strategic partnership which will help TTCL provide the latest technology, Bruce Zhang, Huawei Tanzania Managing Director said it “reveals a long story between Huawei Tanzania and TTCL in providing ICT solutions in Tanzania including Mobile Broadband and Fix Broadband”. “We believe both 4G and 4.5G will contribute effectively to TTCL and make the company achieve its business strategic objectives,” he added.
In Tanzania since 2001, Huawei committed to making TTCL a reference in terms of telecom in the country and in Africa as well. The company is actually the government’s official ICT advisor since 2015. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement to this end.
