Tunisia: OneTech gets €21M from EIB to accelerate the development of its innovative products

OneTech, a group specialized in the manufacturing of circuit boards, electronical and mechanical assembling, connectors and wiring, has obtained on December 11, 2017, a €21 million funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The monies will help accelerate the development of the firm’s innovative products, research and development and innovate in the wires and mechatronics sectors.

The financial support of the EIB falls under the H2020/InnovFin program which is a funding scheme dedicated to innovative companies, and it is co-financed by the European Commission. It will help create 720 direct permanent jobs in Tunisia.

According Román Escolano, EIB’s vice president, the funding granted to OneTech is “emblematic: it marks the commitment of the European Union’s bank to private companies that create jobs, especially for youths, and excel in the industry”. “Our institution’s goal is to create the optimal conditions for the financing of innovative technologies, which are key to the economy and competitiveness,” he added.
