SUTHERLAND GLOBAL SERVICES, a process transformation company, signed a cooperation agreement with Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). The agreement was signed on October 17, 2018, during the Gitex Dubai 2018 being held in Dubai from October 14 to 18.
Thanks to this three-year agreement, Sutherland expects to strengthen its presence in Egypt and extend the portfolio of its services in the Middle East.
ITIDA will help Sutherland identify and hire qualified IT professionals it needs for its services. "We choose to grow in Egypt because we recognize the diverse and remarkably talented workforce here", said Ahmad Rihan, Sutherland's senior director for MENA region. By the way, the company plans to create 750 full-time jobs for its center in Alexandria.
The center which was opened in 2010 is already meeting the demands of clients in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.
According to Maha Rashad, CEO of ITIDA, Sutherland’s interest for Egypt is just the result of the government’s measures "to develop its thriving IT& IT enabled services industry".
