Sudan has decided to launch electronic payments as of the start of 2019. Moutaz Moussa (photo), the prime minister reiterated this wish on November 22, 2018, during the periodic meeting of the government. He explained that during the meeting, discussions about this matter were focused on the completion of the system in government’s units; an operation which is currently being finalised.
The E-payment will help the government efficiently fight corruption and mismanagement of public funds. The digitalization and automatization of payments for services offered by the government such as taxes, will offer more efficiency to the public administration and thus improve government’s performances in terms of governance.
This electronic payment project is part of the electronic administration programme initiated by the country’s authorities years ago.
