On October 25, 2016, mobile operator Mobilis, subsidiary of Algérie Telecom, signed a partnership agreement with Stream System, Algerian electronic devices manufacturer (Smartphones and tablets). Under the agreement, the mobile branch of the telecom operator will sell Stream System’s devices.
Mobilis believes providing its users with top-quality, affordable, telecom devices will benefit it in many ways.
First, the partnership will add value to its image as it will reaffirm Mobilis’ commitment to the promotion of local investors and innovators, and its support to local products.
Next, the company hopes to grab more customers by offering affordable devices that support high-speed internet.
Most importantly, Mobilis, by selling Stream System’s mobiles devices, aims to boost access to mobile internet and subsequently data usage on its network. It should be highlighted that high cost of quality devices is one of the major breaks to a greater access to internet and internet earnings for operators.
