Wednesday, 01 June 2016 17:24

Dubai-based firm Jetex Flight Support and Swissport Executive Aviation, both specialized in airport services, have won the bid to tender launched by Morocco’s Airports National Office (ONDA) to manage business terminals in five airports.

The two firms will thus launch the first Fixed-base operator product in Moroccan airports. This product includes the management of reception infrastructures and airport logistics services for private jets.

Swissport Executive Aviation will use installations in the following airports : Casablanca Mohammed VI, Marrakech Menara, Rabat-Salé and Tanger Ibn Battouta.

Jetex for its part will be active in the following airports : Casablanca Mohammed V, Marrakech Menara, Rabat-Salé, Agadir-Al Massira and Dakhla.

Our goal is to provide world-class services and a memorable travel experience to our precious customers while offering them new routes in terms of business flights in response to rapidly growing market needs,” said Adel Mardini, President of Jetex.

We are happy to support Morocco’s airports in developing FBO which will help the country to keep its position as leader in the region and Africa,” said Mark Skinner, vice-president Ground Handling Middle East and Africa of Swissport Executive Aviation.

In Morocco, business flights had 18,249 passengers for 7,774 movements in 2013, according to most recent statistics.
