Mr. Ould Meimou was the ambassador representing Mauritania at the African Union (AU) in Addis Abeba.

Ahmedou Ould Abdallah, who was previously Governor of Brakna (South-Centre) becomes Minister of Interior. He replaces Mohamed Ould Ahmed Rare appointed Commissary for Food Security by another decree.

The third personality to make an entrance in the government is Mohamed Lemine Ould Cheikh, MP for Wad Naga (South) and leading figure of the presidential majority.

He has been appointed Minister of Relations with the Parliament and Civil Society in replacement of Izid Bih Ould Mohamed Mahmoud who exits the government.

Exchanges also touched on four other portfolios.

Now, Mrs. Lemina Mint El Kotob Ould Moma is in charge of Agriculture, Mohamed Ould Khouna will head Equipment and Transport, Brahim Ould M’bareck Ould Mohamed El Moctar leads Hydraulic Systems and Sanitations and Mrs. Fatma Habib is responsible for Social Affairs, Children and Family.
