Atlanta, insurance arm of Moroccan group Holmarcom, just opened two subsidiaries, life and non-life, in Cote d’Ivoire, Moroccan newspaper L’Economiste revealed on June 17.
Named Atlanta Côte d’Ivoire vie and Atlanta Côte d’Ivoire non vie, the two companies will be monitored by Jalal Benchekroun, Managing Director Atlanta Insurance, and managed by Ivorian Othmane Bah, the same source added.
In October 2015, Atlanta said it planned to expand across Sub Saharan Africa and enter the Islamic insurance market.
Owned by the Bensalah family, Holmarcom group operates mainly in the finance, agro-industry, distribution, logistics, air transport and real estate sectors.
