One of the ambitions of the Beninese government's action program is to make digital technology one of the drivers of economic and social progress.
Last Wednesday, during its ministerial council, Benin approved its 2023-2027 national artificial intelligence and mega data strategy (SNIAM).
The strategy aims "to position Benin as a country able to seize current and future artificial intelligence and mega data processing opportunities, which would make it even more attractive for all types of investments from the private sector and development partners," the government's general secretariat informs on its website.
The US$7.8 million strategy will provide an opportunity to exploit AI in target development areas such as education, health, agriculture, tourism, etc.
