Côte d’Ivoire: Bouygues, Mövenpick and Saprim to invest € 55 million in hotel in Abidjan

(Ecofin Agency) - The French group Bouygues and the Swiss hotel chain Mövenpick will form a partnership with the Société Abidjanaise de Promotions Industrielles et Immobilières (Saprim) to invest € 55 million in a 5-star hotel in Abidjan, the three companies announced in a joint communiqué published on 21t September.

The construction works will start within the next 6 months and should be completed within the next 30 months, by end 2018 according to the same source.

“The hotel will cost about € 55 million, with the main part financed by Saprim and Bouygues”, Jean-Gabriel Peres, Managing Director of Mövenpick group, explained.

Mr. Peres also declared at the end of a meeting held on 21st September in Abidjan with President Alassane Ouattara that this hotel would create between 200 to 300 direct jobs, indicating that more establishments could be built in the economic capital as well as inland.
