Solutions for Schools
Ethio Telecom held discussions with the Adama City Education Bureau to introduce its digital education solutions to stakeholders across the city’s secondary school system. The discussion, announced on November 11, focused on the potential deployment of the company’s Education Management Solution (EMS)—a cloud-based platform designed to simplify teaching and learning, automate administrative tasks, and enhance communication between teachers, students, and parents.
During the session, Ethio Telecom presented the EMS platform’s capabilities, including electronic attendance and grade recording for teachers, real-time academic access for students, and integrated progress monitoring for parents. While no formal rollout has begun, the dialogue marks an important step toward potential collaboration under a joint implementation framework. The initiative aligns with the national Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy, a roadmap aimed at transforming Ethiopia into an inclusive, digitally empowered society.
The introduction of EMS supports Ethio Telecom’s new three-year transformation strategy, “Next Horizon: Digital and Beyond 2028,” which aims to reposition the company as a diversified digital technology provider. The strategy targets expansion into high-growth sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, cloud computing, and enterprise solutions in education and health.
For Ethio Telecom, engagements like the Adama City EMS dialogue allow the company to explore new opportunities for digital transformation in education while reinforcing its role in Ethiopia’s national development agenda.
